About Me
Hi, I’m Pritom Saha Akash. I recently defended my Ph.D. in Computer Science at UIUC, where I worked with Professor Kevin Chang on problems spanning Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Multi-agent Systems, and Recommender Systems. My research covers text mining, LLM-based generation, semantic modeling, and multi-agent frameworks for search and content discovery. I have also contributed to collaborative research efforts between IBM–UIUC and eBay–UIUC.
Beyond academia, I gained hands-on industry research experience at IBM Research (2023) as a Research Scientist Intern working on Conversational AI, and at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios (2024, 2025) as an Applied Scientist Intern working on LLM-driven Product Search and multi-agent relevance judgment.
I hold BS and MS degrees in Software Engineering from the University of Dhaka (IIT), which laid the foundation for my work in software systems, machine learning, and NLP. I will be joining Amazon as an Applied Scientist in January 2026.
